Typeface design

Introducing Protest Sans. A typeface inspired by protest signs of the civil rights movement, reimagined for today’s uprisings. This typeface is meant to be loud and bold, but easy to read so there is no question about what you stand for.

I designed Protest Sans, my first typeface, while (virtually) attending a Typography Intensive through Old School New School, where we learned the foundations of typography and lettering design. It’s still a work in progress (there’s a lot of missing symbols!), but I’m excited to share where it currently stands and have people start using it. There’s plenty of things to protest after all.
